Judah Smith Joins T.D. Jakes to Equip Pastors for the Challenges of Leadership at Dallas Event

Nearly half of all pastors often feel the demands of ministry are more than they can handle¹—a responsibility that Forbes has identified as one of the toughest leadership roles². Judah Smith, best-selling author and lead pastor of The City Church in Seattle, is no stranger to pastoral burnout and spiritual exhaustion. To share his experience and help pastors deal with the challenges of leading a church, Smith is joining Bishop T.D. Jakes at the 2017 International Pastors and Leadership Conference April 27 – 29. 

Hosted at The Potter's House Conference & Events Center for the first time, the conference will provide pastors and leaders from around the world with the tools to grow and develop their ministries and connect with their communities more effectively while combatting spiritual fatigue. Smith is the author of the recently published book, How's Your Soul?: Why Everything That Matters Starts with the Inside You, which focuses on helping today's faith leaders take care of their souls—physically, mentally and emotionally—to avoid burnout. 

The 2017 conference theme is "Leader Shift"—a nod to today's constantly evolving culture that challenges leaders to refine and strengthen their skills in order to impact the next generation of leaders. Breakout sessions will cover topics including entrepreneurship, leadership development, marketing and music.
