Bishop T.D. Jakes and The Potter’s House Partner with World Vision to Aid Tornado Victims

Families and individuals struggling to recover from recent series of Texas tornadoes will find resources for recovery at the Dallas church

In response to Tuesday's Texas storms, Bishop T.D. Jakes has partnered with local organizations to provide relief for those affected by the devastating twisters. Under the guidance of Jakes and led by Pastor Ronnie Guynes, MegaCARE Missions, Inc.,—the humanitarian arm of The Potter's House founded by Jakes—has joined forces with World Vision to aid victims. Hundreds of MegaCARE volunteers will assemble and distribute more than 500 food packages, hygiene kits and clothing for men, women and children. Cleaning supplies, children's shoes and even bed rails also will be available for those who need them. The Potter's House is also offering limited financial assistance. 

In addition to tangible goods, The Potter's House Center for Counseling and Behavioral Health is offering free counseling sessions to those who are seeking emotional and mental support in dealing with the aftermath of the Texas tornadoes.

Persons seeking assistance must bring photo identification and their Red Cross relief number.
